My Recovery from Borderline Personality Disorder, Alcoholism and Sex Addiction
PsychCentral post: http://blogs.psychcentral.com/be-the-change/2012/07/recovery/
I have been actively working on recovery from addiction and mental illness for the past 6 months. Since I have made my recovery my number one priority in my life I have seen life change in ways I didn’t know were possible. It is a lot of work and I still face challenges every day but it has been worth it. I know it sounds corny but the authentic happiness I feel now from my life experiences is better than any high I ever had. I didn’t think it was possible for me to ever reach this point. In this video I talk about my past and the things I am doing now to work on my recovery. I know everyone has to find their own path to recover. This is just what has worked for me. I think the key is just giving it your all no matter what you decide to do. I will be doing a follow up video to tell you all more about the things I do from day to day to work on my mental health and recovery. You can also check out my earlier videos from the past 6 months where I talk about things that have helped me. 🙂
