Heroin Addiction

Heroin Addiction | Samantha Bean – Full Story
Samantha started abusing prescription painkillers after tearing her ACL playing college soccer. She was 17 years old. Samantha started off by improperly using her prescription before resorting to buying prescriptions off the street. After a while she did anything to feed her addiction, including stealing her parents’ pills and money, which nearly destroyed her relationship. When pills became too expensive, she began using heroin.

Realizing that she needed to remove herself from her toxic environment and get help, she traveled to Florida and entered treatment for trauma and addiction at Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches. Through her recovery, Samantha has gained a newfound sense of hope, empowerment and independence and the self-realization to stay sober.
