Causes of Heroin Addiction & Fatal Overdose Epidemic by Graham Hetrick
The CDC has declared heroin and drug addiction an epidemic with kids as young as 12 years old. Death by fatal overdose in the 16-25 year old age group is the #1 cause exceeding all other forms of death combined. An epidemic so severe that heroin exists in every single school district in the mid-Atlantic and northeastern states. It exists in every single neighborhood.
While attempts at incarcerating or legislating our way out of this crisis have been dismal failures, there is so much misunderstanding and the wrong questions being asked about the root causes of addiction.
A renown and leading investigative forensic scientist and coroner Graham Hetrick of Dauphin County, Harrisburg, Pa. provides some remarkable insights about what is causing this epidemic, the forces driving it and why.
With rehabs having a dismal failure rate of less than 2% it’s obvious there is no prevention or success in understanding why and what addiction is and why heroin and other hard drugs and addictions are the symptoms of a failing society.
In this video his valuable and insightful perspectives show each and everyone one of us why this epidemic is everybody’s problem and has gone past the crisis stage.
